Come join the Hawai’i Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA) on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawai’i as we celebrate our annual convening of members on September 27th and 28th, 2018. Enjoy two days full of aloha and behavior analysis; and meet behavior analysts from across the globe! We are very pleased to announce that our keynote speakers this year will be Dr. Pat Friman and Dr. Caio Miguel!
HABA invites persons engaged in research, teaching, or practice to submit proposals for presentations at the 2018 convention. Presentations on conceptual, experimental, and applied behavior analysis are desired; including research reports, technical presentations, case studies, and program descriptions. Commentaries and reviews of methodological, legal, ethical, social, philosophical, and historical issues are welcome, as are presentations in areas such as behavioral medicine, behavioral pharmacology, behavioral neuroscience, physiology, biology, psychology, public health, and education.
Submissions will be reviewed by the HABA Events Committee. Not all submissions that are submitted will be accepted. Submissions will be chosen at the discretion of the HABA Events Committee. Submissions will be accepted up until May 15th, 2018. You will be notified if your presentation has been accepted by June 15th, 2018.
*Please note that all presenters whose submissions are accepted are expected to deliver the presentation or arrange for it to be delivered at the convention. Failure to do so may result in rejection of future convention submissions.

Note: The Events Committee is interested in broad applications of our science including but not limited to theoretical and experimental work and specialties such as: organizational behavior management, parent training, supervision, etc.
A single paper is an oral presentation, usually reporting research or discussing a conceptual, historical, methodological, professional, or applied topic. Single papers are 50-60 minutes in duration.
A symposium comprises a series of presentations organized around an empirical, conceptual, methodological, historical, or practical theme, organized and submitted by a chairperson who moderates the session. There may be 2 presentations followed by remarks from a discussant that integrate the presentations, or 3 presentations. Symposia are 50-60 minutes in duration.
Panel discussions involve 3-4 panelists who comment on a theme or topic and/or take questions from the audience; a chairperson moderates the discussion. Panel discussions are 50-60 minutes in duration.
